i'm kathy!

& I believe in the power of design to bring communities together.

I'm currently a Design Intern @ American Civil Liberties Union, previously a Design Intern @ Prophet (NY)!

I'm Vietnamese-American multidisciplinary designer with a big heart for storytelling, especially if it is a story we both share! From the silly-mundane moments to the intimate memories, I strive to recreate those emotions in visual forms. Overall, I'm really passionate about using design to push narratives for social impact in supporting marginalized communities.

My background in Graphic Design and User Experience & Interaction Design fosters my understanding in crafting human-centered experiences even further. The ability to shape experiences through deep dives of the subject and the
audience is like one big fun jigsaw puzzle for me —what pieces belong
and what's the big picture!

Brand Identity, Packaging Design, and Motion graphic projects currently pique my interests, but i'm ready for any challenge (but is it ready for me?)

Outside of my running Adobe apps,

  • I enjoy listening to True Crime cases (although I get scared VERY easily)
  • Taking care of my plants (in Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley)
  • Memorizing choreographies after obsessively hitting
replay on YouTube (but i have stage fright)

Let's share stories! <3
